TEDxBrookings Ginger Kern travel passport

After working in Europe for over three years and traveling to 25 countries around the world by the age of 25, I wanted to bring the ‘traveler’s mindset’ back to the United States. When I learned that only 38% of Americans have their passport, I founded a non-profit called The Passport Project to change that statistic.

Through my transformative travel coaching, the online platform The Traveler’s Mindset, and speaking at universities and organizations across the U.S., my work creates adventurous people who are confident and powerful on the road and in their everyday lives.

Potential speech topics for interactive, customized talks include but are not limited to:

Purposeful Work
International Travel
Teamwork & Leadership
Global Careers & Global Citizenship

I love sharing how anyone — whether student, entrepreneur, 9-5er or retiree (single, married, or divorced) — can use international travel to transform herself or himself.

I speak at events around the United States that support students seeking careers abroad, women’s empowerment, and entrepreneurs who want to incorporate travel into their lives & businesses.

My talks create confident people who are effective in self-leadership and ready to take on the world. Literally.

That was a wonderful speech. I have a fear of living a normal life and getting stuck in routines, but I’m also scared of talking to people. I want to travel and live the life that you described so badly, but everyone around me believes that it would be impossible. I started to believe it too. Your speech, though, I really learned a lot from it. It really made living a life of adventure seem real. It was eye opening.

“Starting Your Career Abroad”

Thank you again for the great workshop yesterday. I’m hearing positive news and even had students who didn’t attend it contacting me for materials because they already have heard from others about it!

HBCU 8th Annual Career Development Marketplace
“Starting Your Career Abroad”

Your presentation inspired the students to seriously consider study and work abroad opportunities and the importance of understanding other cultures. Most importantly, we appreciated the thorough plan of attack you provided in achieving those goals. The time you spent with individual students afterwards speaks volumes to your passion for opening boundaries for students and encouragement to become more courageous in their future endeavors. Thank you again and we hope to have you speak again in the future.
